How did we choose and check them?

We picked platforms that sell paid tickets to the public, publish their fees, and cost less than Eventbrite in at least one common scenario. For each one we read the vendor's own pricing or help page on 1 October 2026 and computed the total cost of a 20 USD and a 50 USD ticket with US cards, using Stripe's US rate (2.9% + 0.30 USD) where processing is separate.

Disclosure: this list is published by the AnyEventTool team. To keep it useful, every entry, including AET, lists real cons, and we say plainly that none of these alternatives replaces Eventbrite's marketplace. Full arithmetic for three ticket scenarios is in ticket fees compared.

Paid tickets carry a 5% platform fee plus Stripe on the free plan; Luma Plus (59 USD a month billed annually) removes the platform fee and adds a check-in manager role, API access and Zapier. 9. AnyEventTool (AET) — best for keeping all ticket revenue

Around the ticket you get an event page with an AI poster, registration, seat maps with a hall designer, QR check-in in the phone browser, a live quiz, calendars, a merch shop and a consent-based community. Free costs 0 USD with 3 new events a month; Pro is 19 USD a month.

Honest limits: no marketplace, no native apps, no REST API or Zapier yet, and you need your own merchant account and handle receipts and refunds yourself. How it works: how to sell event tickets without platform fees; head to head: AET vs Eventbrite.

When should I stay on Eventbrite?

  • Discovery is your main channel. If many buyers find you on Eventbrite, its fee pays for reach none of the alternatives offers.
  • You cannot open a merchant account. Eventbrite collects money for you; most alternatives need your own Stripe or similar.
  • You rely on its apps and integrations. Switching costs time; do it at the start of a season, not mid-sale.

A practical middle ground: keep listing on Eventbrite for discovery and sell to your existing audience through a cheaper tool. In Ukraine, see ticket-selling services in Ukraine.

Questions and answers

What is the cheapest alternative to Eventbrite?

For nonprofits, Zeffy at 0 USD. For everyone else with their own audience, AnyEventTool: 0% platform fee, so a 20 USD ticket costs about 0.88 USD in Stripe processing versus about 3.11 USD on Eventbrite US (checked 2026-10-01).

Is there an Eventbrite alternative without any fees?

Not entirely: card processing always costs something. Zeffy covers card fees for nonprofits; AET, Luma Plus and others remove the platform fee but processing remains.

Which alternative has a marketplace like Eventbrite?

Luma has discovery listings; the other tools here mainly help you sell to an audience you bring yourself. None matches Eventbrite's reach, so if discovery matters most, keep Eventbrite for that.

Which alternatives support reserved seating?

Ticket Tailor (extra credit per reserved seat), Humanitix (seating map builder) and AET (hall designer on Free). Tito and Hi.Events do not offer reserved seating.

Can I use these alternatives in Ukraine?

Stripe-based tools need a Stripe account, and Stripe does not support businesses registered in Ukraine. AET works with plata by mono; local services are compared in ticket-selling services in Ukraine.
