How do I make an event page with an AI-generated poster?
Updated: · AnyEventTool
Short answer
Start from the event facts — title, date, place, type — and let an image model draw a poster that already contains them, then refine it. In AnyEventTool (AET), every new event gets one free automatic poster; after that, "Generate poster" uses 1 AI generation (Free: 10 a month, Pro: 100). You can add a style in words or a brief, apply your brand style, or build the whole page from a link or file.
Key facts
- First automatic poster for a new event is free; each further AI image costs 1 AI generation
- AI generations per month: Free 10, Pro 100 (shared across all AI tools); Pro images are higher quality
- Poster format: horizontal 3:2; title, date and place are written into the image
- Layered poster editor: AI draws only the picture, text is set in your style's fonts
- AI never invents people: a person appears only from a photo you upload
- Event from source: up to 3 links, 5 files (20 MB each, 40 MB total) or pasted text, for 1 AI generation
- Files given to AI are deleted right after reading
Step by step
- 1Create the event
Create an event with type, name, date and place; the first poster is generated automatically for free.
- 2Regenerate with a style
Tap the poster, choose Generate poster and describe the style in words if you want a different look.
- 3Use the brief for control
Set genre, subject, mood and technique, or upload a hero photo; refine a finished poster with what to change.
- 4Fine-tune in layers
Open Edit poster to set composition, text and fonts; AI draws only the picture.
- 5Apply your brand
Learn your brand style in My workspace → Styles and use Style an event for colors, fonts, logo and stickers.
- 6Check and publish
Read the text on the poster, preview desktop and mobile, then make the event visible.
What makes a good event poster?
A poster has to work as a small thumbnail in a chat preview and as a big image on a page. That means:
- One clear focal point — a subject, an object or bold typography, not a collage.
- Readable essentials: title, date, place. Everything else belongs on the page.
- A consistent look across your events so returning guests recognize you.
- The right orientation: horizontal images display best in link previews and page headers.
AI is good at the first and fourth points and at speed. It still needs a human eye for spelling, tone and whether the image fits the audience.
How do I generate a poster in AET?
- Create an event (or use the quick builder on the landing page: type, name, date, time, place, then one of 10 poster styles or your own description).
- AET draws the first poster automatically in the background — free, once per new event.
- To make another, tap the poster and choose Generate poster. AET reads the type, name, description, date and place from the event; you can add a style in words (up to 300 characters).
- For more control, open the brief: genre (hero, object, typography, illustration), what to depict, mood, technique, a reference link, a hero photo, and "what to change" for refining a finished poster. Refining keeps the rest of the image.
- Or open Edit poster to build it from layers: picture (AI, your own or none), composition (text on photo, brand stripe, two columns, color background), text (kicker, title, date and place) and style (fonts, capitals, background). AI draws only the picture; text is set in fonts, so it is always spelled correctly.
If you have a brand style, AET also offers a Motion poster: an animated GIF made from your brand graphics, without AI and free.
Can AI build the whole event page, not only the poster?
Yes. Create event from source takes up to 3 links, up to 5 files (PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, XLS, TXT, MD, CSV and images; up to 20 MB each, 40 MB total) or pasted text (from 120 characters), plus a note. AI reads everything and lays it out into page sections: description, program, schedule, makers, materials, contacts, registration fields and custom sections, with illustrations taken from your source.
The rules are strict: use all the information, invent nothing (what is missing stays empty), keep the source's wording and language, and report which blocks did not make it onto the page and why. It costs 1 AI generation for the whole event, and the event counts toward your monthly event limit (Free 3, Pro 30).
Files are not stored: AET extracts text, illustrations and colors and deletes the file immediately.
How do brand styles work?
In My workspace → Styles you can teach AET your brand: upload up to 5 files (images, PDF, DOCX, PPTX), add your website and a few words, and press Learn my style (1 AI generation). AET measures real colors and fonts from your site and files, and AI writes a style passport: palette with roles, typography, tone, motifs. Code then checks every saturated color against the evidence and replaces invented ones with the nearest real color, and keeps text contrast at 4.5 or higher.
Then Style an event applies backgrounds, card colors, heading fonts, the date card, logo (up to 3 variants found on your site) and brand stickers (1 AI generation each; 2 slots per style on Free, 10 on Pro). AI posters for that event follow the brand's palette and motifs.
What are the limits and caveats?
- One shared monthly allowance. Free has 10 AI generations a month, Pro 100, for posters, images, style learning, stickers, events from source and AI quizzes together. A generation is counted only after success; deleting the result does not refund it.
- Quality. Pro renders images at higher quality than Free.
- People. AI does not invent faces. A person appears on a poster only from a photo you upload. Requests involving real public figures or prohibited content are refused.
- Check the text. In a single-image poster the AI writes title, date and place into the picture; read them before sharing. The layer editor avoids this by setting text in fonts.
- Privacy. Event data and your description are sent to OpenAI's API to generate images. AI never receives your attendees' data.
- Hidden venues. If the venue is "ticket only", regenerate any poster made before you hid it.
Should I use AI or a designer?
Use AI when you need a good poster today, run many small events, or want consistent visuals without a design budget. Use a designer for a flagship conference, a festival identity or anything printed large. A practical middle path: have a designer create the brand once, teach it to AET as a brand style, and let AI produce on-brand posters for each event.
Questions and answers
Is the AI poster free?
The first automatic poster for each new event is free. Each further AI image uses 1 of your monthly AI generations: 10 on Free, 100 on Pro.
Can I upload my own poster instead?
Yes. You can add, replace or remove your own poster; a horizontal 3:2 image is recommended.
Will AI put a real person on my poster?
Only from a photo you upload as the hero photo. AI does not invent people and refuses requests involving real public figures.
Can AI create the whole event from my website or PDF?
Yes, with Create event from source: up to 3 links and 5 files or pasted text, for 1 AI generation. Missing details stay empty rather than invented.
Do you keep the files I upload for AI?
No. Files for event-from-source and brand styles are deleted right after their text, illustrations and colors are extracted.
Which AI models does AET use?
OpenAI models through the API: gpt-image-1 for images (with dall-e-3 as a fallback for posters) and gpt-4o for reading sources and planning pages.
