## Short answer

On our own 29-setting checklist, checked on 11 platforms on Oct 1–2, 2026, AnyEventTool (AET) scores highest at no extra cost: 72.4, vs 69.0 for RegToEVENT and 53.6 for Luma. Every AET design tool is on its Free plan. We wrote the checklist and scored AET ourselves. The 3.4-point lead is one setting, a near-tie by our own 5-point rule, and it comes from AI: without the two AI rows RegToEVENT leads, 74.1 to 70.4. Selling from your own website? AET has no embeddable widget.

## Key facts

- **Our checklist, our product:** AnyEventTool publishes this ranking and its founder wrote it. We scored AET's cells from its code; competitor cells cite vendor pages. AET gets 7 of 7 in media and decor, a group we chose
- **72.4 vs 69.0:** AET leads RegToEVENT in the main view (21 vs 20 points of 29). By the 5-point rule in our methodology that's a near-tie. Luma is third at 53.6 (range 51.7–55.2)
- **Where the lead comes from:** AI poster and AI brand style. No other platform we could verify scores "yes" on AI brand style (2event and Eventmate: not stated). Count AI on Free as ½ and it's a tie at 69.0
- **5 of 10 weightings:** AET is #1 in five, tied with RegToEVENT in two (69.0 and 88.1 each) and second in three, where RegToEVENT is #1
- **Not a Cyrillic effect:** without the Cyrillic-font row AET still leads, 71.4 vs 67.9. Raise the Cyrillic bar from 75% to 90% and it's 70.7 vs 69.0
- **Paid extras score 0 in the main view:** own domains and white labels (RegToEVENT, Ticket Tailor), Luma's Plus slug, AET's Pro subdomain. A free address with your name on the platform's domain (rte.im, buytickets.at, ti.to, Eventbrite, Humanitix) counts as "partly"
- **AET's gaps:** no embeddable widget, theme presets, custom CSS/HTML, own domain or ticket/email design; the "Made with AET" badge stays on every plan
- **Open data:** every cell in [/learn/data/design-29-controls.csv](/learn/data/design-29-controls.csv), every weighting in [/learn/data/design-views.csv](/learn/data/design-views.csv)

## The full ranking: 29 design settings, 11 platforms

You're running a workshop, a retreat or a party. There's no designer on the team, and the page has to look like *your* event rather than a form with a banner on top. The workarounds from organizer reviews are familiar: a Canva poster linked from your Instagram bio, a separate Wix page with an embedded checkout, or a Partiful or Luma theme and its limits.

So we asked one narrow question: on which platform can you shape the page yourself, with the most settings, without paying for add-ons? We listed 29 settings a non-designer might reach for, from brand color to a separate link-preview image, and checked each one on 11 platforms on Oct 1–2, 2026. Each setting scores 1 (yes), 0.5 (partly) or 0 (no). Anything sold on a paid plan or as an add-on scores 0 in the main view, AET's Pro-only subdomain included. A free address with your name on the platform's domain scores 0.5: the name is yours, the domain isn't. The full plan rules are in the methodology below.

The table counts how many of the 29 settings you get without paying extra. Four platforms have cells we couldn't verify, so for them we also show a range: every "not stated" counted as a no, then as a yes.

| # | Platform | Score (known settings) | Range if "not stated" = 0…1 | Points | yes / partly / paid / no / not stated |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | **AnyEventTool (AET)** | **72.4** | 72.4 (all known) | 21 of 29 | 20 / 2 / 1 / 6 / 0 |
| 2 | RegToEVENT | 69.0 | 69.0 (all known) | 20 of 29 | 17 / 6 / 1 / 5 / 0 |
| 3 | Luma | 53.6 | 51.7–55.2 | 15 of 28 known | 9 / 12 / 1 / 6 / 1 |
| 4–5 | Humanitix | 51.7 | 51.7 (all known) | 15 of 29 | 11 / 8 / 0 / 10 / 0 |
| 4–5 | Ticket Tailor | 51.7 | 51.7 (all known) | 15 of 29 | 10 / 10 / 1 / 8 / 0 |
| 6 | Eventbrite | 48.3 | 48.3 (all known) | 14 of 29 | 9 / 10 / 0 / 10 / 0 |
| 7 | Partiful | 48.2 | 46.6–50.0 | 13.5 of 28 known | 11 / 5 / 0 / 12 / 1 |
| 8–9 | Hi.Events | 43.1 | 43.1 (all known) | 12.5 of 29 | 10 / 5 / 1 / 13 / 0 |
| 8–9 | Tito | 43.1 | 43.1 (all known) | 12.5 of 29 | 8 / 9 / 0 / 12 / 0 |
| 10 | 2event | 30.0 | 25.9–39.7 | 7.5 of 25 known | 5 / 5 / 2 / 13 / 4 |
| 11 | Eventmate | 13.6 | 10.3–34.5 | 3 of 22 known | 2 / 2 / 0 / 18 / 7 |

AET and RegToEVENT are clearly ahead of the rest, and one setting separates them (21 vs 20 points). Luma, Humanitix, Ticket Tailor, Eventbrite and Partiful sit in a tight cluster around 50. No range changes the top two. At worst Luma (51.7) shares third place with Humanitix and Ticket Tailor, and the best cases are 50.0 for Partiful, 39.7 for 2event and 34.5 for Eventmate.

Keep the instrument in mind. We picked the 29 settings, and AET's 7 of 7 in media and decor (stickers, effects, patterns) weighs as much as a widget or a custom domain. Our methodology calls any gap under 5 points a near-tie, and a 3.4-point lead on the leader's own checklist is exactly that. The weightings below matter more than this one number.

## Ten ways to weigh it: where AET leads and where RegToEVENT does

Say you don't care about AI at all and would rather lay out every block yourself. Then AET isn't first. That's why we publish ten weightings instead of one.

Each row changes one rule and recomputes all 11 platforms. In row 2 we scored AET's two AI rows as "partly", because Free gives you 10 AI generations a month.

| # | Weighting | What changes | #1 | AET | RegToEVENT | #3 | AET's place |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Main: all 29 settings equal, paid = 0 | — | AnyEventTool | 72.4 | 69.0 | Luma 53.6 | 1 |
| 2 | AI on Free counted as ½ (10 generations a month) | AET rows 22–23 = partly | tie | 69.0 | 69.0 | Luma 53.6 | 1–2 (tie) |
| 3 | Equal weight per group | each group = 1/5 | AnyEventTool | 67.5 | 64.4 | Humanitix 53.2 | 1 |
| 4 | Paid add-ons counted | paid = 1 | AnyEventTool | 75.9 | 74.1 | Luma 57.1 | 1 |
| 5 | On-page only | identity + layout + media | AnyEventTool | 83.3 | 81.0 | Luma = Ticket Tailor 57.1 | 1 |
| 6 | On-page, paid counted | 21 settings, paid = 1 | tie | 88.1 | 88.1 | Ticket Tailor 64.3 | 1–2 (tie) |
| 7 | Without AI rows (manual tools only) | drop 22 and 23 | RegToEVENT | 70.4 | 74.1 | Humanitix = Luma = Ticket Tailor 55.6 | 2 |
| 8 | Without the creation-help group | drop 22–25 | RegToEVENT | 72.0 | 78.0 | Luma = Ticket Tailor 56.0 | 2 |
| 9 | Freedom-heavy | layout ×2, custom code ×3 | RegToEVENT | 68.9 | 71.6 | Humanitix 52.7 | 2 |
| 10 | Without the Cyrillic row | drop "Cyrillic-capable fonts" | AnyEventTool | 71.4 | 67.9 | Luma 53.7 | 1 |

AET is #1 in 5 weightings, tied in 2 and second in 3, and every tie and loss points the same way. RegToEVENT gives more manual layout power, per-screen layouts included. AET's edge is helpers that do the work: an AI poster from your brief, an AI brand style from your logo or site, brand kits for the next event. If you want those, AET leads. If you'd rather build every block by hand and maybe pay for a domain, RegToEVENT is the stronger builder.

The top two stay the same in every row. All ten: [/learn/data/design-views.csv](/learn/data/design-views.csv).

## What the five groups mean if you're not a designer

A week before the launch, nobody thinks "I need section reordering". You think "the program should come before the speakers" or "this looks like every other Eventbrite page". So we grouped the 29 settings by the job they do for you.

**Identity (1–8):** do people recognize your brand at a glance. **Layout (9–14):** do you decide what goes where. **Media & decor (15–21):** can the page feel alive. **Creation help (22–25):** does the platform do some design work for you. **Outside the page (26–29):** does your design reach your website, the link preview, the ticket and the emails. Points per group (out of the group's size unless noted):

| Platform | Identity (8) | Layout (6) | Media & decor (7) | Creation help (4) | Outside the page (4) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| AnyEventTool (AET) | 6 | 4.5 | 7 | 3 | 0.5 |
| RegToEVENT | 5 | 5.5 | 6.5 | 0.5 | 2.5 |
| Luma | 4 | 2.5 | 5.5 | 1 of 3 (+1 not stated) | 2 |
| Humanitix | 4.5 | 2.5 | 3 | 2 | 3 |
| Ticket Tailor | 6 | 2 | 4 | 1 | 2 |
| Eventbrite | 2.5 | 2.5 | 4 | 3 | 2 |
| Partiful | 3.5 | 2.5 | 5.5 | 2 | 0 of 3 (+1 not stated) |
| Hi.Events | 5.5 | 1.5 | 2 | 1 | 2.5 |
| Tito | 4 | 2.5 | 2.5 | 1 | 2.5 |
| 2event | 1.5 of 7 (+1 not stated) | 1 | 3 of 6 (+1 not stated) | 0.5 of 2 (+2 not stated) | 1.5 |
| Eventmate | 1.5 of 7 (+1 not stated) | 0 | 1 of 6 (+1 not stated) | 0 of 1 (+3 not stated) | 0.5 of 2 (+2 not stated) |

AET is the only platform with all seven media settings, and it ties with Ticket Tailor for the top identity score (6 of 8 each). Its weak spot is outside the page: 0.5 of 4, because it has no embeddable widget, no custom code and no ticket or email design. RegToEVENT wins layout (5.5 of 6). Humanitix wins outside the page (3 of 4).

Here's what counts as "yes" for each setting:

| # | Setting | "Yes" means |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Brand / accent color | Your color on buttons, headings or blocks |
| 2 | Page background color | A background color or gradient you choose |
| 3 | Fonts | A choice of heading or body font, not one platform font |
| 4 | Logo | Your logo on the page itself, not just an organizer avatar |
| 5 | Saved brand style (brand kit) | Colors, fonts and logo saved once, carried to new events |
| 6 | Remove platform branding | No platform logo, header or "made with" badge on the public page |
| 7 | Own domain / subdomain | The page on your domain or custom subdomain |
| 8 | Cyrillic-capable fonts | Share of fonts showing і, ї, є, ґ without a system-font fallback |
| 9 | Reorder sections | You set the order of description, program, speakers, map |
| 10 | Custom sections | Your own titled sections beyond the template |
| 11 | Hide / show blocks | Individual blocks switch on and off |
| 12 | Inline text formatting | Bold, headings, colors, sizes and links inside text |
| 13 | Separate mobile control | Something laid out differently on phones, beyond auto-responsive |
| 14 | Theme presets / templates | Whole-page themes applied in one click |
| 15 | Cover / poster | A main image or poster at the top |
| 16 | Animated cover | A GIF or video playing at the top |
| 17 | Background image / pattern | An image or pattern behind the content |
| 18 | Decor / stickers | Stickers, emoji effects or frames placed on the page |
| 19 | Gallery | A carousel, grid or album for several photos |
| 20 | Video | YouTube/Vimeo or an upload embedded in the page |
| 21 | Animated effects | Parallax, particles, confetti or pulsing you can turn on |
| 22 | AI image / poster | The platform's own AI draws the cover or poster |
| 23 | AI brand style | AI turns your logo, site or files into colors, fonts and motifs |
| 24 | Copy / duplicate design | The design carries to the next event or becomes a template |
| 25 | Canva integration | Canva built in for the cover or invite |
| 26 | Custom code (CSS/HTML) | Your CSS or HTML/iframe embeds on the hosted page |
| 27 | Embeddable widget | Tickets or registration embedded on your own site |
| 28 | Link-preview (OG) image | The image messengers and social networks show next to the link |
| 29 | Ticket / email design | Your logo, colors or layout on the PDF ticket or emails |

Two rules need a word. **Link-preview image:** every platform that builds it automatically from the cover gets "partly"; "yes" requires a separate upload, and no platform in this set has one. **Cyrillic fonts:** "yes" if at least 75% of the available fonts render Ukrainian letters, "partly" for 1–74%, "no" if the only font or the brand font lacks them. AET clears the 75% bar narrowly: 13 of its 17 page and brand-kit fonts (76%) have Cyrillic, one point above a bar we set ourselves, and 16 of 20 description-editor fonts (80%). Poppins, Bebas Neue, Anton and Dancing Script don't. With a margin that thin we checked the alternatives: at a 90% bar AET drops to "partly" and scores 70.7 vs RegToEVENT's 69.0; without the row it's 71.4 vs 67.9.

## Setting by setting: AET, RegToEVENT, Luma, Humanitix, Ticket Tailor, Eventbrite

If you're choosing between two specific tools, the totals hide what you actually care about. Here's the verdict per setting for the six platforms readers ask about most.

| — | **Score, main view** | **72.4** | **69.0** | **53.6** | **51.7** | **51.7** | **48.3** |

AET's "no" rows are theme presets and removable branding on the page, and custom code, the widget, ticket or email design and Canva outside it. RegToEVENT's sit mostly in creation help (no AI poster, AI style or Canva), plus the brand kit and link preview. Luma is "partly" on 12 of 29: ready-made themes rather than fine control. Its AI-poster cell is "not stated" (its help shows a cover gallery, Unsplash and upload; silence isn't proof), hence its range. RegToEVENT's font cells rest on its demo (fixed Montserrat, with Cyrillic) and an undocumented marketing claim of font choice; if it has a font list, its Cyrillic cell needs a recount.

Partiful, Hi.Events, Tito, 2event and Eventmate are in [/learn/data/design-29-controls.csv](/learn/data/design-29-controls.csv) with a note and a source URL for every cell.

## Which tool for which event

The same score means different things for a medical conference and a rooftop party. Here are five common cases, the AET settings you'd use (numbers from the definitions table), and when a competitor fits better. Demo links are pages the AET team made, not real events. They illustrate the tools; AET's scores come from its code.

### Conference or professional meetup

You need a program, speakers, sponsors and a map, in your order. In AET that's custom sections with their own titles (#10), section order (#9), hide/show for each block (#11), your logo on the page (#4) and a gallery for last year's photos (#19). A saved brand kit (#5) means the next edition starts with your colors and fonts already in place, and 13 of the 17 title fonts render Ukrainian properly. Demos: [conference](https://aet.events/uds4T) and [hackathon](https://aet.events/HOJih).

RegToEVENT fits better if you want a full landing site: 11 templates, 155 blocks, forms that embed on your own site and ticket design (3 templates, logo, color per ticket type). Your own domain costs from €2,000.

### Yoga or wellness retreat

A retreat page sells a mood. In AET you'd set a page background color or gradient (#2) across four page zones, or a background image with tiling and opacity (#17). Then you'd pick a calm font (#3) and generate a poster from a short brief (#22). AI images count against your 10 monthly generations on Free.

Humanitix fits better if you repeat the same retreat and already design in Canva: a saved styling template, built-in Canva and HTML embeds in the description. Its one font has no Cyrillic, though.

### Party or club night

Here the page itself is half the invitation. AET gives you up to 10 stickers per page (#18): your own images or GIFs, or stickers AI draws in your brand style (2 brand-sticker slots on Free, 10 on Pro; each drawing uses 1 AI generation). You place them separately for desktop and phones (#13). Add a GIF poster (#16), a countdown pulse and parallax brand art (#21). Demo: [birthday party](https://aet.events/SscNM).

Luma and Partiful fit better if you want the look in one click rather than assembled by hand. Luma has 47 themes in 9 categories. Partiful has 60 themes (premium ones are paid per event), about 49 effects, GIF posters from Giphy and a free Canva app. The catch for Ukrainian titles: Luma has 3 Cyrillic-capable fonts out of 24, Partiful 3 of 9.

### Festival or concert

Bigger shows need motion and proof: a video, last year's gallery, an animated cover. AET covers all seven media settings, from an animated GIF poster (#16) and a gallery section (#19) to YouTube in the description (#20) and zone backgrounds (#17). Demo: [concert](https://aet.events/YpBB1).

If you sell merch, AET also has product stickers inside #18: a live sticker with the price, placed anywhere on the page, that opens the purchase on tap (up to 40 per event; the Free shop holds 5 items). We didn't find anything like it in the other platforms' documentation.

Ticket Tailor fits better if you sell through your own site or at the door: 8 themes, one box-office design and a widget, and white label ($49/£39 a month) adds a custom domain. AET has no box office, POS or widget.

### NGO or community group

Small budget, a logo, maybe a website, no designer. AET's AI brand style (#23) reads your logo, site or files and turns them into page colors, fonts and motifs. Learning a style uses 1 of the 10 AI generations a month on Free, and each AI brand sticker uses 1 more. The brand kit (#5) then keeps every future event consistent without a paid plan: all design tools are on Free (3 events a month). Demo: [webinar](https://aet.events/kBJUD).

Humanitix fits if you want Canva built in and a checkout embedded on your own site.

## Where AnyEventTool is not the best choice

Here's where AET loses on design, and who wins.

- **An embeddable widget for your own site.** AET has none. RegToEVENT, Luma, Humanitix, Ticket Tailor, Eventbrite, Hi.Events, Tito and 2event all offer one. If your main sales page is your own website, this alone decides it.
- **Theme presets.** AET has none: you build the look from colors, fonts, backgrounds and stickers. For a finished theme in one click, look at Luma (47 themes), Partiful (60), RegToEVENT (11 site templates) or Ticket Tailor (8 themes).
- **Custom CSS or HTML.** AET allows neither. Humanitix accepts HTML and iframe embeds in the description; RegToEVENT allows an HTML embed through its video block ("partly"), and Tito's widget comes unstyled for your own CSS ("partly").
- **Your own address and domain.** AET offers only a name.aet.events subdomain, and only on Pro. RegToEVENT (rte.im), Ticket Tailor (buytickets.at), Tito (ti.to), Eventbrite and Humanitix put your name in a free URL on their own domain. Real custom domains are sold by RegToEVENT (from €2,000) and Ticket Tailor (white label); Hi.Events Cloud has none.
- **Removable branding.** The "Made with AET" badge stays on every plan. RegToEVENT (€150–750) and Ticket Tailor ($49/£39 a month) let you pay to remove theirs, and Hi.Events sells a €499/year licence that removes it from a self-hosted copy; Tito removes its branding from the widget for free.
- **Ticket and email design.** AET's PDF ticket and emails use a fixed design. RegToEVENT (3 ticket templates, logo, colors) and Hi.Events (ticket designer, Liquid email templates) score "yes".
- **Mobile layout and Canva.** AET's separate phone layout covers stickers only; RegToEVENT's free-form block has per-screen layouts. Humanitix, Eventbrite and Partiful have Canva built in; AET doesn't.

Design isn't the whole decision. On pain-weighted feature coverage (fees excluded) AET is last of the seven tools we scored: Luma 81, Eventbrite 80, Humanitix 74, RegToEVENT 71, 2event 67, Ticket Tailor 64, AET 63. On a broad Ukrainian scorecard of tools and compliance, RegToEVENT leads with 73.0, then Eventmate 70.2, AET 56.8 and 2event 44.6.

## Methodology in brief

- **Question:** which platform gives an organizer without a designer the most page-design settings at no extra cost.
- **Candidates and settings:** 11 platforms with enough public documentation to score; 29 settings in five groups, defined above. We chose the settings, which is the main bias to weigh.
- **Scoring:** yes = 1, partly = 0.5, no = 0; "not stated" is left out of the known score and shown as a range (0 to 1 for each unknown).
- **Plan gating, same for everyone:** anything only on a paid plan or add-on scores 0 in the main view: AET's name.aet.events subdomain (Pro), Luma's custom slug (Plus), RegToEVENT's domain and white label, Ticket Tailor's white label. A free address with your name on the platform's domain is "partly" (RegToEVENT, Ticket Tailor, Tito, Eventbrite, Humanitix). We score Hi.Events as the hosted product: its white label is a paid licence (€499/year, for self-hosting), so like other paid white labels it's "paid"; a custom domain isn't sold for Cloud at all, so that cell is "no". This only matters in the paid-counted weightings (4 and 6), where Hi.Events is far from the top three. AET's badge can't be removed on any plan, so it's 0 in every view.
- **Conflicting notes:** where an earlier note of ours and this design check disagree and we couldn't reconfirm, the design check stands. 2event's own address stays "not stated" (an older note mentions a paid subdomain; the pages we saw sit on 2event.com.ua); scored as paid, 2event would get 28.8 and stay 10th.
- **Other shared rules:** link preview and Cyrillic fonts, explained above. **Sensitivity:** ten weightings, all published.
- **No new settings after scoring:** AET's AI-drawn and product stickers count only inside #18, so the goalposts don't move.
- **Evidence:** AET cells are self-assessed from AET's code. The AET team made six demo pages (not real events; illustrations, not evidence for cells): [hackathon](https://aet.events/HOJih), [conference](https://aet.events/uds4T), [concert](https://aet.events/YpBB1), [birthday](https://aet.events/SscNM), [webinar](https://aet.events/kBJUD), [exhibition and market](https://aet.events/2wCiy). Competitor cells cite vendor help, marketing and demo pages, and Hi.Events's public GitHub code. Where the docs are silent, we took from public event pages only what the platform itself renders (the font, a fixed block order); for Eventmate, with no public help center, that's most of the evidence. No screenshots. Every cell's URL is in the CSV.

## Disclosure and corrections

This article is published by AnyEventTool, and the author is AET's founder. Weigh the conclusions with that in mind. It's the reason we publish every definition, every cell, the ranges for unknowns, the two weightings that end in a tie and the three where RegToEVENT comes first.

If a cell is wrong, write to support@anyeventtool.com. Vendors named here have a right of reply, and we'll publish corrections with a date.

## Questions and answers

**Which event platform lets me design a good-looking page without a designer, for free?**

On our checklist, AnyEventTool (AET) scores 72.4, RegToEVENT 69.0 and Luma 53.6, with all of AET's design tools on Free. The checklist is ours and the lead is one setting, a near-tie by our own 5-point rule. Without the two AI rows, RegToEVENT leads 74.1 to 70.4; count AI on Free as ½ and it's a tie at 69.0.

**Is AET the best event platform overall?**

No, and we don't claim it. This ranking covers only page design at no extra cost. On pain-weighted feature coverage AET is last of seven with 63 (Luma leads with 81), and on a broad Ukrainian scorecard RegToEVENT leads with 73.0 to AET's 56.8.

**Are AET's design tools really free?**

Yes. Every page-design tool is on the Free plan ($0: 3 events a month, 10 AI generations a month, 1 co-admin). Pro costs $19 a month and adds 30 events, 100 AI generations, 10 co-admins and a name.aet.events subdomain.

**Can I remove the "Made with AET" badge?**

No. The badge shows on every AET page on every plan, which is why AET scores 0 on "remove platform branding". If you need an unbranded page, RegToEVENT (€150–750), Ticket Tailor ($49/£39 a month) and a self-hosted Hi.Events (€499/year licence) sell white label.

**Does the ranking depend on the Cyrillic-font row?**

No. Without that row AET leads 71.4 to 67.9. With a 90% bar instead of 75%, AET's page fonts (76%) count as "partly" and it still leads, 70.7 to 69.0.

**Why do Ukrainian letters look wrong on some event pages?**

Because the platform's font has no Cyrillic, so the browser swaps in a system font. Humanitix and Eventbrite use one fixed font without Cyrillic. Luma has 3 Cyrillic-capable title fonts out of 24 and Partiful 3 of 9. In AET, 13 of 17 page fonts (76%) and 16 of 20 text-editor fonts (80%) render і, ї, є and ґ.

**Can I embed AET tickets on my website?**

No. AET has no embeddable widget and no custom CSS or HTML. RegToEVENT, Luma, Humanitix, Ticket Tailor, Eventbrite, Hi.Events, Tito and 2event offer widgets.

**How did you score platforms you couldn't fully check?**

Unverified settings are marked "not stated", left out of the known score and shown as a range: every unknown counted as a no, then as a yes. Luma ranges 51.7–55.2, Partiful 46.6–50.0, 2event 25.9–39.7, Eventmate 10.3–34.5. None of the ranges changes the top two.
